Forks and More for Sale...

  • 1 x chrome slightly raked 1 inch threadless fork. Stock bianchi pista, will include aheadset (integrated cane creek) if needed. - available again
2 x ahead stems, 1 silver bianchi, 1 black and (mainly) white raceface, both the same length, either 120 or 130 mm.
2 x saddles, specialized alias (white) with a tear on the right side, bianchi saddle (black and silver) mildly scuffed on one side.
1 x silver seatpost, 27.25(??!) mm, fits in 27.2 frame fine.

    Also...
Alf webb track frame & forks with unfashionably sloped top tube (as in like a langster), mental paintjob, light use, fat tubing, aluminium. In need of a bit work - currently has an equally lightly used sugino messenger zen driveside crank stuck to it. my crank puller stripped the threads of the crank trying to get it off - still a few lines left but beyond my patience. To complicate the issue, the BB cup is loose on the drive side - the reason i tried to get the cranks off in the first place. Will let the frame & forks (RRP £130ish) and cranks (165) + bb(£75ish) go for £130, and will include seatpost, bianchi saddle, headset and a black 110mm 3tt stem considering the crank issue. Open to offers though. Er, also, the headset needs its top bit drilling out and a new one of those grippy things putting in (yeah it pissed me right off as well).

The alf webb frame is good fun to ride - would make a nice commuter. Selling all this to free up space as much as helping my pathetically skewed cash flow. I also have a pair of risers that i could chuck in to the deal.

    Thanks!

  • i want a seatpost photo...

    and saddel photo

  • what size is the frame and can we see some photos if possible????
    thanks

i will take forks, headset, stem, seat post and seat please :)

  • which seat and which stem dale?

the alf webb frame is a one-size-fits-all. Read the website (webbline.co.uk) for more information. "intelligent geometry allows for an inside leg measurement of...." Believe it if you want, i think it's bollocks, but it fitted me (6ft) fairly well. I think the frame is 54cm C-T but i'd have to measure it to be sure. I'll take a photo when i get home tonight, about 10ish?

  • bianchi seat; and bianchi stem (unless raceface is o/size)

  • raceface is pretty much identical to the bianchi stem - regular clamp size. done deal

Can you wait till polo on sun to pick it up? Alternatively, where are you going for drinks this thursday with object? I could potentially bring it all to you there.

  • awww, wait all that time :(

  • but daaalllee my finger is still broken at the moment... can't really ride anywhere and you can't expect a poor student to get the bus??? I'm picking my bike up today, will see how i feel about meeting earlier.

You don't pedal with your finger do you? HTFU

  • HTFU? harden the fuck up? Jesus hippy since when did you get all un-hippy like?? I just don't want to make it any worse, its hurting a bit today because i tried to play guitar (bad idea).

  • It's the Mondayitis talking, don't pay any attention. Oh, that and I'm a cunt. Can't you just tape it up and ride though?

  • dunno, havent had a chance to try yet. My palm is pretty spectacularly bruised. I broke the knuckle of my little finger you see. The metatarsal i believe.

  • can you double check the length of the steerer on the fork? i'm pretty sure it will be long enough coz bianchi left an extra inch, but need greater than 240mm

  • dogsballs can you double check the length of the steerer on the fork? i'm pretty sure it will be long enough coz bianchi left an extra inch, but need greater than 240mm

I'll check and get back to you once i'm home.

  • Dale - 240 mm on the steerer, are you sure?! there's 215mm, measuring from the top of the fork race. Sorry if this ain't enough, but how fucken big is this langster exactly?!

  • Here is a picture of the Alf Webb Frame built up. Looks like that now but a little dirty, with the jammed crank and the buggered headset. Sigh.. not really selling it am I? haha

its 57 cm, with 19mm head tube. funk!! still want the other bits though.

  • Cool. I too will (probably) be at westie drinks this Thursday. Can you bring along the stem? If not I'll grab it off you Sunday. Cheers.

  • Ok guys i will try to make tonight (shouldn't be too bad without the forks), but considering how hung over i am right now I can't say for def... God it's hard being a student :D

Will absolutely definitely be at polo on sun though.

19mm? er, don't you mean 190? :) I still can't believe it needs to be that long, the headtube on my pista is pretty big and there was enough space for a stem and about an inch and a half of spacers... I'll bring the forks to polo on sunday anyways.

are you trying to get a mention on bikesnob :P

  • hehe the ultimate fixed insult :)

  • oof, low blow! but i dont even have arrospok...

To be honest its sort of why i went back to the pista. Not that the pista is much better:

Note the jean-tainted yellow saddle, and the matching brake cable and fork logo.
