i have just brought a nokia n95 mainly to use as a modem for the laptop when on location but it has a gps/map thingy that i wanted for riding on the road, not as a "take the 2nd exit at the roudabout" thing but more for heading off in a general direction, getting lost then finding out where you are and how to get back without getting lost again.
it works quite well but battery life isn't very good.
