It wasn't stupid of you at all for stopping: human decency and all that.
I'm thinking the crack addiction was slightly less smart though…I live in East London. I hear your pain.

Hmm, depends on who was hanging around her or nearby. I would have tried to help but I wouldn't have put myself in any danger.

I used to stop, but I see so much of that crap in Brixton that I've become immune... A friend of mine very nearly got into that kinda state herself... Pretty scary...
I tell everyone who's coming to SW2 for the first time to just put on their best 'deadface' and keep on walkin'...
Not very civic minded, I know... :( -

ahhh that old trick.i was drinkng outside a pub on goodge st near the tescos.
there was a bunch of cracker bumming money from the peeps coming out of tesco.thye changed their begging stratagey by gettting this girl to ask for money. She focused on guy only. And from what i can make she was offering up tricks.
The unsuspecting guy would follow her to a locating then be surrounded by crackers and beaten n robbed.dont forget crackers are weak but you dont wanna cut yoself or take chances.i never stop like kolwolski(the film)

3rdword thats kind of why i thought its a bit foolish to stop but there didnt seem to be many lurkers, its a sad state but there you go.
i mainly felt bad for the girl as she was only young but was blitzed and genuinely looked distressed....but that is the look of a crackhead.

but crack heads are going to more extravagant measures. twice, I;ve come across one around the ten bells showing the fakest blood on his arm asking for money to get to hommerton hospital. I just offer them a cig and their happy.

That was probably the same bloke I saw in the summer outside the Griffin in Shoreditch. Must admit though, he had this brilliant looking gash on his arm. Really professional, he must have done it when he was sober. Anyway he wanted money to get to the hospital blah blah....I felt guilty for not giving him a quid at first but whenI saw him an hour later pulling it again I felt vindicated

Yeah, it's always a bit of a stress deciding whether to stop for shit like that or not.
A while a go this guy came over to me and a mate looking really desperate, he was asking for some money to buy chocolate cos he was a diabetic and was going to black out if he didn't get some sugar.
We could tell straight away that the guy was just after money, but we decided to humour him as my mate was actually a diabetic himself.
My ate was like "here you go, even better! i've got insulin injections, glucose pills, and everything you need!"
The guy got so pissed off and we just couldn't help laughing. He looked like he might get violent for a second, but he backed off due to being embarrassed and outnumbered! -

this might be a sign that i should shave, or change something about my appearance but i have lots more random people come up to me and try to sell me drugs, ask me if i'm selling drugs, or want to trade me drugs, then i have ask me for money.
on the ride home after my night shift, going up through Battersea, when i get a shout of distrses from what looked like a walking duvet in fluffy slippers. now moral dilemma do i stop and see what the problem is or wizz by? I stopped and there in amongst the duvet was a girl about 18 who looked like she had just got off the set from the Night of the living baseheads video...."can you help me, ive hurt my finger and i need to get to Uxbridge" Now there were some people lurking in the shadows so thought it best to get her walking away ( i had thoughts of ma3k trauma) Now im thinking she actually is in a bit of grief, so try to help her get to a bus stop now shes saying "can you get money ill pay you back, take my name please just give me some money" i didnt have any money on me, when she twigged she just stormed off.....bloom'in crackheads..ungrateful gits they are!
i know its stupid of me to stopped but in the back of my mind i thought she may be in trouble.....she was in a sad state
would you have stopped???
