]cheers dogs, not for me though, not right now anyway - and too small. shame about that CB you pointed out though, now that would have been perfect but unfortunately it has ended. mind you he didn't sell it so might drop him a line.

What's the deal with Freddie Grubb frames - both of those current orange frames have the decals like they were made by Holdsworth, but they've got 531 stickers - I thought Holdsworth used plain-gauge on all their Freddies? ( from http://homepage.ntlworld.com/nkilgariff/FreddieGrubb.htm )

can you have plane guage 531 tubing??? or because the were track frames they were upgraded to 531 and nervew lugs etc. also the top one that eyebrows posted, looks more like a early 50's frame due to the grease nipple in the BB and general style of the decals, lack of head badge (due to metal shortage post war as well ;) ). this is a guess, based on my homework with my 1950 holdsworth cyclone and 1960's holdsworth mistral.
one thing i've noticed is that these early 531 frames are remarkably light ;)

Would you stop showing off about your holdsworths!
It makes me cry a little inside. (not that you don't deserve them or anything- its just I am desperately trying to find one for me!
Ah well, back to the search.(also Dogsballs's builds (the one I've seen anyhow) are amazing)- how hard was it to source the period parts?
-
• #2592
ibob saw them the other day ;)
period parts have been interesting to find. the last batch of parts have still not arrived, even though i found them a month ago and paid a week and a half ago; damn slow old farts who don't trust the internet or paypal!!
