I'm from Madison, your neck of the woods. I've lived here for 6 years. I wouldn't live anywhere in London than east, but to settle the argument a little bit, perhaps we should know what you're looking for in a home.
Nightlife or just a local pub? Going out or staying in? Easy access or a nice commute? Parties or Dinner? Movies or Mayhem? That sort of thing...
London has a much lower quality of life as far as space and living accommodations is concerned compared to the midwest- detroit included. When looking at a flat make sure to ask about Council Tax.
Have you or your partner lived in England before? Why are you moving here?
