What scratches? I see no scratches..
-

i'm sorry but you're fucked in the head if you want to get a full re-spray and new decals, for a converision, that only has minor scratches, that would disappear with a bit of cleaning and appropriate touch-up paint. FFS!!
leave it with me for a couple days and i'd sort it £20.
-
• #29
You've got to leave that, man.
Give it a polish and appreciate the original paint and battle scars. -
• #30
:) What does FFS!! mean? And for sure I'd not dispute my being fucked in the head.

Woah, seriously the scratches may annoy you, but is it really worth getting it powdercoated? its a conversion, so I'm guessing its your first fixed bike, just save the money you would pay to make it pretty again and save up for a new frame.
-
• #43
scratches = character...
-
• #44
Yep.
I'll take it off you're hands, if you want to put the cash towards summat shiny.

i need to get a bj frame and forks resprayed and new old decals. no dents or scratches but the purple paint has faded so much its near on white.
im in 2 minds to send it to them or not.
hmm
-
• #46
Take it to Mario Vaz, all decals are belong to him... ;)
Seriously tho', I think your frame looks great!?! My Mercian was way more trashed than your BJ but had to be made over after the headtube got fixed... Wouldn't have touched it otherwise, it had original and very beautiful aged 50s paint on it...
My tuppence... -
• #47
I'll give it a good clean, touch up and polish. Hopefully it'll look good.
Cheers for the air space for my rant. LFGSS 10/10 BJShop 0/10.

Good call! that pertty frame is about 10000 miles from a respray.
Try and take off the rust spots before retouching.. (apparently this is what dremels are for.) -
• #49
who needs a dremel? get that elbow grease on it prontro

I've just got my 80s Jackson back from Witcomb (it's now probably as much Witcomb as Jackson). He took a while to sort out the badging, don't know where he got them. But may be worth a call.
With all the mess around I might just keep it as is. The scratches really bug me though. Sorry for the blurry images.
