provenrad Good skills Objekt. Heres one for a more petite rider - 51cm Soma Rush (631 / Hi-Ten?) frame only in london, brand new £120 BuyItNow. Seems like a deal.. cheap?
I saw that earlier - it's a damn good deal, especially cos the seller has listed it as hi-ten steel when in fact it is double butted and either 631 or Tange Prestige
-
• #2531
tange prestige. that is a steal at that price http://www.somafab.com/rush.html

Object Only if he nicked them from a shop!
Judging by the rest of the stuff they had on sale it looks like it was a clearance company.
did they have anything else worth looking at? Bike bits? more forks?
-
• #2534
No more bike bits. I'd have posted a link if he did :]
Do you need towel rails per chance?
-
• #2535
Towel rails? yes please (seriously)

Gooooo-on snowy, gerrit, buy her some flowers or tell her your happiness is the best gift she could ask for :P

buy it for her, then she'll not ride it and it's yours

Yeah, already done that last option. Twice. So i've the lovely baby blue geared bike with the *conveniently *stuck high seat post and the mini polo bike (which to be honest, she does ride, but its got a stupid low gearing, so its only suitable as a local bike), both of which were bought for her, but seem to be ridden by me on a regular basis.
She needs a shopper. A blinged shopper. Then I can get into the world of sturmey hubs. Oh and baskets. I've got a hankering for baskets.
And i've a heap of bikes to sell too, which may cover the cost of the soma. Hmm, i'll be off to buy the present, and then check the bank balance. Thank you all for providing empirical proof of the N+1 theory.

Buy those carbon forks too!
rosie don't apologise as you are currently bikeless... violins ..snowy is a collector ;-) -
• #2546
I might just use the forks off my Pinarello, they'd go nicely. Hrrrrm. Now for some ridiculous coloured wheels.
-
• #2547
Hope you enjoy it Rosie!
Don't worry, I was thinking over it as I wandered through brixton shopping (incidentally, double braked pista spotted outside Barnardos) and realised that it wasn't to be mine. As Prav said, I've got enough (unfinished) bikes not to need to buy a new one. Just sharpened my resolve to go and buy some white bar tape tomorrow morning... oh and a new open pro rim, and some spokes, and a tube, and a white saddle, etc. etc.
