On a particularly long and nasty descent in the alps one of the rotors on my mountain bike got so hot that it discoloured and went slightly brown, which would suggest it got to over 200 degrees centigrade. Having that near a leg is a very bad idea, unless you really want to be branded with your rotors pattern.
