Vigorelli is the off the peg model and you'll probably have a 6-8 week wait to get one made up. Mine was eight weeks due to Xmas. Pista is full custom with corresponding higher price which has a huge wait at the moment I think.
Brick Lane and Putney Cycles might have some frames you could check for sizing but basically seat-tube and top tube lengths are the same on the Vigorelli. Simon @ Putney just sat me on a couple of other road bikes and said 21". Not really worth going to Leeds unless you're getting full custom??. You can have 1 inch threaded or threadless steerer and have mudguard eye or not and thats basically the options.

in many respects you might be better getting an off the shelf Vigorelli track...have ordered a custom which i'm v excited about but the 6 months+ wait is proving excruciating. Does provides the option of different tubing and chrome though...

If I were you I would give the Boys at Putney Cycles a call. Seen some lovely looking Bobs come out of there recently. What is the worst that could happen? Half an hour chatting over bottom brackets to Simon and Dave is not so bad.
Wayne you got any pictures of Mark's new one? Bike that is.

Firstly, think I'd better say Hello, as I've been skulking under the username of 'guests' for way too long.
Got myself an off the peg Bob Jackson from BLB a few months back, and they are great! especially coming from everyones fav.. a Langster!!. However, being a shorter than average rider, even the 19"/49 frame is a little on the big side for me, mainly due to reach, so I've just arranged to go to Leeds to get a custom one made up.
From what I can tell, the Vigorelli is what they call the off-the-peg track frame, and they call the custom one the Pista. As standard they come with 1" threaded steerer, but I think you can get 1" 1/8 if you really wanted and I know you can get threadless too.
But there is a long wait, although not as bad as Mercian and alike. They quoted me 4 months on the phone, but I guess that could easily slip to 6. -

I went up to Leeds last weekend to order my frame and get a fitting (having been to PC and BLB the weekend before). If you're in any doubt about what you want frame/size-wise I would definately go up to Leeds (tho it was easy for me, just an hour up the motorway). The guy who took my order was great and they were really flexible on what they could make for me. Delivery on my frame is supposed to be 5-6 weeks (off the peg, with extra enameling). Simon at PC was also really useful to talk to though.

I'm hankering after a Bob road bike. An Audax club most likely.

they all 1" headsets, even the threadless ones?
I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that I should get on the bob jackson bandwagon. all of the so-called modern unlugged frames are just not for me. However, due to their confusing website I'm a little lost as to what the range is. what do they have in the way of track frames? is the vigorelli their standard? the also do a pista yes? presumablt they can do a 1" steerer? i'd like to get up to leeds for a fitting and to see colours etc, anyone have any experience of this? and finally what would you guess the turnaround to be these days from the point of ordering? i've tried calling them but no answer.
