Ha.
I was waiting outside Tescos form my girlfriend practicing no handed trackstands on Tuesday.
She came out so I strapped a foot in, tried to turn around, forgot I was strapped and did a 0mph tip and ended up in hysterics.Better than a fall + speed.

Lucky it wasn't your jeans, folded them up at the perfect height so on the down it engaged with the cog perfectly on the way round. Came off the front...proper arse over tit moment...
palm, knuckle, head and back grazes... seriously un-dope blood shed.
but i kinda like the way skin closes in on a cut i dont wanna die without any scars

ha! At least you had a slow speed fall.
Reminds me of what happened a few weeks after I first went fixed. I wasn't quite diligent enough in tucking my flappy trousers into my socks (so there is a point to tight hipster jeans after all...) I'd just turned into Voltaire Rd off Clapham high street when the trouser leg got caught. The back wheel locked up and I skidded to a stop, still upright, and realising there was no way out (clipped in!) I said to some passing guy, 'I'm going to fall over now'. And then did, in sort of slow motion comical, try-to-land-on-my-hip-rather-than-the-bike way. quite an effective way to learn that particular lesson i think..

Ha haha +1 on the shoelace thing. I just ground to a halt uphill on Holborn, left lace hooked into pedal and wound round the spindle a few times, laughing as I slomo keeled over. A nice cyclist woman stopped for me too. It looks like you're just falling over for a laugh or something. I always tuck both laces now, not just drive-side. I think I rebroke my collarbone that day (4th time!), it felt better afterwards wierdly enough.

I have to try this - judging by the reports, it seems to attract ladies.

Now you know why us SMRT people don't ride bikes in jeans and use SPDs with velcro closures..

I'm still not wearing jeans.
Actually that's not always true, sometimes they get rolled up for a quick shop run.
No clips and straps though. -

No laces. Happy, keeling-over free cycling.
And yes, I too learned the hard way. Rites of passage, and all that. -

Vans are wayyyy to flexy for me. Look good with girls' jeans whilst in the Shoxton and Horeditch area.
Me and adoubletap luurve these too much. They stay on if you have any scrapes, nice smooth sole at the toe. Nothing comes close.

They look lovely and firm fitting for sure. But death by lace-trapping is a fate worse than, erm, death?
When I was a kid, it was all about the velcro.
Now, when's that crap coming back?! -

similar to vans...the soul is too thin,i can feel the pedals right through the bottom :(
cos my left one decided to wrap itself around the pedal so much i took a rather slow comical fall. my trainer was so tight i couldnt get the sodding thing off, and was kind of stuck hahah.
Layed there for a min or so thinking how tf do i get this off, few ppl thought i had an accident and came to help. i was just laughing pointing at my shoe.
Nice girl helped me up nd i walked the bike backwards, fell over again for good measure and got the shoe off. Tucked my laces in and off i went.
Funny morning, and glad it was on buxton st not city road.
