well my nothread set arrived today, and i went to install the crown race, tiny amount of grease on it and it slides down the forks and on to the fat bit then stops, all is good so far i get my crown race press (read piece of pipe with rubber hot gleued to one end), and give it a whack... nothing, another whack.... nothing. ok maybe i need to sand down the fork crown a little.... go to take it off, and cant pull it off... well now im stuck i cant get the crown race cup up or down... i cant get my screw driver at an angel to whack it back up.... so what now
i have a rubber mallet, a small hammer, and a big hammer a screwdriver, and a piece of wood. and the pipe.... what do i do now
also i noticed a tiny little scratch on the top of the forks it looks like its only in the clear coat, its about 1.5-2mm long, and not any wider then a hair... should i send the forks back. they are profile crabon ones.
