  • Okay, so it's arrived. Bit more surface pitting of the paint than I'd hope for but generally quite smart ride and about the right size, but it's def gonna need a respray.

    Gonna replace the hole ridden tubes & ride round on it geared for a week or two before building up some wheels.

    First question is the wheel nuts are obviously imperial and about the size of 15mm like my fuji. What size spanner am I gonna need to pick up>

  • an adjustable one! or just get a full set, not that expensive and definitely worthwhile if you're going to be doing a good bit of work with older bikes. old/antique spanners usually crop up on ebay, I've bought a couple of lots off there, usually only one or two are of any use but it's worth it for those. For instance, my current lockring spanner cost me 2p.
