an adjustable one! or just get a full set, not that expensive and definitely worthwhile if you're going to be doing a good bit of work with older bikes. old/antique spanners usually crop up on ebay, I've bought a couple of lots off there, usually only one or two are of any use but it's worth it for those. For instance, my current lockring spanner cost me 2p.
