Advice needed: Chris King Headset base plate problem

hippy Does it matter that much? I don't think it changes how the headset/forks perform as the int. headsets just have more 'covering' material at the bottom, nothing that actually bears weight, touches bearings, etc.

Well, not really, it works absolutely fine and i've ridden it round the block, it's just that i've spent 500gns on this so far and wanted it to be purrfik, you know, as my sunday best :)
