Damn Flip, just read through all this and am really sorry about what happened.
I live round there and, although the stolen bikes are SOLD there, didn't think it was worse an area than anywhere else in London for theft/damage.
I agree with the whole awareness campaign thing. Could at least change some opinions.
And, sorry again that this was your semi-welcome-to-London.
