A lot of these 'bike stations' exist already - they're called gyms. If they could facilitate secure bike storage, I think that'd be a really compelling USP to choose one chain over another.
Facilitating staff to be able to cycle to work is not easy. My work has the cycle scheme, 3 showers (between 500 staff) and secure parking for about 30 bikes - and I consider them to be relatively good. They have invested in a carbon audit with the aim of becoming carbon neutral. But it is easier to recommend carbon offsetting by planting trees, or getting a company rickshaw to transport people to meetings (actually suggested and being looked into!) rather than to say that you have to give half a floor over to showering and changing facilities - with the additional cost this would involve.
An ad agency - WCRS - are investing heavily becoming the best company in London for facilitating people who want to cycle to work. But unsurprisingly this is because one of the owners is a very keen cyclist. (He is also a keen skateboarder and was sponsored by Sims back in the day). Most senior management types are the cnuts in chauffer driven gas guzzlers, hence the lack of interest and investment.
