Pair of rusty old 27 inch wheels going spare...

And they are double rusty. Back wheel has 5 speed cassette on it.. Only reason I don't just want to throw them away is I am not sure how hard parts are to come by in that size and I guess someone might find them handy... As I said though - they are ruined.

Are the rims alloy / steel ? I may have the back one if its alloy (for dads bike!)

If the rims are chromed / rusty then they are steel... IF dull silvery (with rusty eyelets?) then they are alloy
Or you could do the magnet test.. ;-) No hurry cheers Paul..

Hi Paul, thanks for the info - had totally forgotten about this! Steel is real-ly not my bag thanks.
Hopefully they can be of use to someone out there - possibly who is gonna buy a rusty old nail of a bike and needs a wheel. ?
