Once I can walk/ride again I'm gonna be keen to do either/or North London Hills/RP laps on Saturday mornings too.

How is the foot/toe/leg/amputation going?

Wound should have started to heal by next week hopefully, so will be able to apply some pressure. As for now, it's red and bloody and shiny and I'm limping around like a gimp.

Hello,
Thought I would introduce myself as I have been lurking around here for a while without contributing.
Have been looking for a regular meet up on saturday mornings for some time and would be well up for these North London Hill climbs.
Especially that I live up in Finchley and have to hammer one of these hills out on the way home every night! Is this a definite meet up every Saturday then or is it just in discussion at the moment?
I'm Mike by the way. Couldnt think of an original username!
Cheers

Just in discussion - probably not regular, but now and again.
Before the end of Feb, weather/commitments permitting...

I reckon the meet place should be on a regular day every week at a regular time. Earlier the better for me.
That way whoever wants to ride can turn up and have the prospect of at least one other person being there.
Then the route is decided and off we go.Sunday Morning. Hyde Park Corner. 8am.
Whaddyareckon?

i reckon it's long way from RP
-
• #35
JOL, I'm up for the 8am maybe 8.30am at hyde park corner then down to RP. Did islington to RP last sunday, didn't manage a lap though, ended up at the pub instead.

Not all the rides have to go to RP. I reckon that riding the same place every week would get pretty boring pretty quick. Maybe that is too harsh, maybe I should just say that it would be more interesting if we mixed up the routes a bit.
So I'm up for 8.30am (see what I did there) at Hyde Park corner, and we decide the route on the day. Start this Sunday?
-
• #37
Nope.
i'll be at RP, at about 11, then i'll go to the pub.

current forecast is -2degC over the weekend. it'll be icy. try again the following weekend.

Any weekend is cool for me.
Richmond Park sounds good as I have never been there and will give me a very long ride home afterwards -
• #40
Some want early, some late, some Sat, some Sun, some RP, some not. Bollocks to the lot of yaz! I just want wayne's food stash!

-

Not with this wind bitch.. I was driving the bunch for most of it too.. and let's not forget the 95k I did yesterday.

I knew you'd bite

I knew your training regime would fail swiftly, like your erections.
Or was that too personal? I almost sound like you there! hehe :P
Just over 40 miles for me, but I can't do the late start. I'd need to be home by the start time being discussed. Sundays are problematic anyway :(
Oh well, still up for other unscheduled RP rides (on a Saturday morning at 9ish) if/when they happen.
(that last sentence seems a bit paradoxical...)
