Paul hubs?

  • Just about to pick up a Paul rear hub in black for cheap, 130mm so it'll fit my IRO nicely... Anyone tried them? Any good?
Think I'll chuck it on a black non-machined deep-V, iz gonna look supa-tuff teamed up with my new black Aerospoke! Mwahhahahaha! :-P

  • Anyone hear anything about these?

  • Yes, ace hubs. Got a set in black on CXP33's. Strong as fuck and spin for ages....go for it sonny! How much you pay out of interest?

AND look like Phils from a distance but cheaper! ;-)

  • .

  • Didn't know they were cheaper than phils... Might look out for them next time i'm not a student.

  • i have a set but not built up yet, however i also have the cranks to go with them

  • Are the chain rings on their cranks proprietary, or a standard part? Do you have to buy replacements from them?

  • proprietary, or maybe for mtbs (?), definitely not compatible with any other track c-rings. nor bmx.

  • They have an odd chainline though don't they? I remember that it's something odd like 44mm.

  • yeah, 44mm

  • and use campag bb taper (or phil)

  • Oh, so what cranks would suit them then? I don't fancy getting a Paul crank if you can't replace the cog with whatever brand you choose.

  • they are the same as goldtec, i seriously doubt 99% on the forum will notice 1-2mm difference.

sugino 75 are fine or campag pista. or just add a spacer on BB ;)
