I used to do a regular trip between Felling and Heaton on my old hybrid and found Byker Bank a challenge even on the granny gear.
Whenever I think what it would be like with a fixie in Newcastle I always think of that particular hill. Be interesting to have a go at that one on my 52x17 ratio, reckon it'd probably kill me.
