After having a couple weeks of feeling crappy, i had one of the most awesome weekend or last 4 days, thanks to all of YOU'S. Yes, you and you, and hippy the fat cnut :p . Hears the rundown.
Thu - Westie drinks at stonemasons. Easy way to ease into the weekend, out speaking shit, playing with wheels, riding back at night with no traffic around
Fri - double bill, alley cat & roller race. After meeting a couple peeps at John Snow, rode out to clerkenwell (an interesting ride along one of my least favourite roads, oxford st; but hey!). Alleycat, was an hour of riding around in circles in inner east london, looking for obscure alley's that the romans built 2000 yrs ago. Only found 7 but i at least we finished, unlike some, and didn't tackle the pavement. Then sat around for a bit in the horseshoe downstairs (possibly the most tatty pub in london) occasionally going outside to see what seemed like a 1000 bikes on the railings. then went up stairs to watch the finals, in the sweltering heat. Another midnight ride home.
Sat - Aus day ride. Awesome ride with big turnout, that went without a hitch, no punctures, no crashes, only a tad lost :p . Highlights were getting abused by a rather distressed young lady at start of ride, seeing hippy full lycra, riding down kings rd taking up the whole lane, riding richmond park in the dark without lights, seeing 30 deer ride beside us and almost take us out, riding down the A3... get back into town 2ish. then another late night ride home, this time bombing it home.
Sun - Bike polo. After getting out of bed at 1.30, managed to straggle to bike polo, in sunshine (woohoo summers closing), chatted with the crew, played a bit of polo for a few hours, generally wind down.
So without all the crew none of this would be possible. So in the words of the great Jeff Fenech (aus boxer) "I LUV U's ALL!"
