Does anyone go mountain biking?

Damn, I really want to go now. I wish I had more money. I think one of my friends might have a bike I could borrow. No good for jumping, but good for a start. They want to wait till the weather improves though...
Might see what they're saying and then maybe we could all go together sometime in the near future

I wouldn't worry too much about getting a specific bike for jumping if your starting out, a mountain bike will be fine until you get better. I used one mountain bike for 8 years when I couldn't afford any others and that took me on long road rides/tours, dirt jumping, street riding, cross country mountain biking and down downhill world cup race tracks (slowly) in the Alps and US. The day that bike snapped I felt like someone had died.

Now I do have a selection of bikes but do feel especially in mountain biking people don't believe you can do something on a bike unless you have the specific one for the job.
