Does anyone go mountain biking?

Damn, I really want to go now. I wish I had more money. I think one of my friends might have a bike I could borrow. No good for jumping, but good for a start. They want to wait till the weather improves though...

Tell them to get a grip and come out with you. The weather in England can be crap year round and the likelihood of getting good weather and free time simultaneously is pretty small. Get wet, cold and muddy and the beer at the end of the day feels more worthwhile.
