Crank problem - are they beyond saving?

asm fucking hell, any hints on how to get the top off of an aheadset when the bolt has stopped gripping inside? the damn thing is just spinning around... fucking hell i'm never putting a bike together myself ever again

Drill those head set star things are cheap so just drill the bolt and replace it.
