Wanted: Front Brake

I would need a 57mm reach front brake caliper (As I have a BMX lever for it!). If anyone has any lying about it would be nice to know ;)

Do you mean a long reach road bike caliper or a bmx caliper?

I have a newly cleaned-up vintage Weinmann with brand new pads that'd do the trick. it's a bolt through, is that OK?

um I have a spare brake that i've recently taken off the back, but there seems to be no diference between it and the front one, if thats of any use?

Your lever should make no difference as to what reach brake to run. Levers only make a difference as far a long pull is needed for v-brakes.

I'll take one of those brakes off your hands if b3ans doesn't go for it. Do you guys need any parts or just cold hard cash?

Yeah, so i need a long reach road brake. And it should be a bolt through because it is going on my old olmo conversion fixie ;) Superprecise how much do you want for it? Or do you need something else?

And splatbucket isn't the difference between the front and rear brakes for road bikes the length of the threaded bolt on the caliper? It's a lot shorter for the rear brake...

Edit: Tommy I jsut meant I need only the caliper, not that I thought that it had to be 57mm reach because of the bmx lever. I formed that sentence in a stupid way :D

i would only be after a few quid or summink whatever.

i'm gonna do a little post of a few things I need to shift so you'll be able to see it then? next coupla days that is.

they just annoy me, whenever i'm fixing up an old frame i find it a regular pain in the ass to get them centred/working properly. so i just go and buy a new brake that works, rather than a thirty year old excuse for a brake that doesnt' really work at all.
