not only that, they are cranked up hard and not de-stressed.
spokes should not bind so as to create dents!
if it is the spokes, then it sounds like clefty's wheel is de-stressing itself now, rather than when it should have been (ie at the wheelbuilding stage)
course, it could be any number of things, but as I've learned from experience, I don't like to diagnose without looking at or even riding the bike in question.
