  • Being a student, and having more bikes than i can reasonably accept, and more debts than i can reasonably manage, I was wondering what you thought would be a fair price for my beautiful blue bike.
It does have a tiny dent, but its not even slightly noticeable unless you look for it. Its a struggle to decide between it and the Bob Jackson, but I prefer the Bob.

Its a Bridgestone 53cm (ish) ,Not drilled, with Deep Vs on Gran Compe hubs (built by Andy- so bulletproof) , Nitto Stem and bars, Hand-stitched leather grips, and I'm gonna keep the brake separate (if I sell it), and a Dura Ace crankset. And its in such good condition. I used it for about 3 months, on dry days, kept it in my room and looked after everything carefully
I really am torn about selling it, but somethings got to give.

But as i said, Not for sale, yet.

  • £45 ;)

  • How much did you pay for it?
EDITED - nice bike by the way! "A stoodent with a nice bike?.. in my day we...."

  • Fiddy dorra when add arrospok!

  • well.... Frame was cheap, as i picked it up in japan. (45 squids).
But, considering that the cheapest you can get frames here in much worse conditions is like 300 squids, and the wheels were not cheap either. I was going to put up for about 450. Which for a full bike i think is fair. (and considering the getting it back and the components, a steal)

And if anyone mentions those fseking aerospokes again, i swear, Its not like i just joined to sell the bike.

  • It's a deal at 450 sheets and no mistake.

Frame plus shipping on eBay would be the business end of 400 notes.

  • 450 is to cheap.

  • As always with any decent bike (be it fixed, road mountain - whatever) you will do much better splitting and selling individually.

    Be interested in the frame.

    :)

    uh oh... same...

  • Whispengers

You gotta split it for bucks it seems. Or sell it complete for a bit more. I mean, that'll buy you a Plug and nice pink hat.

  • £450 is well reasonable i would have thought. looks like you could get more for it in parts.

  • Twas ever thus...

You've done what most of us that are 'into' bikes do and built a custom bike from the frame up.

However, anyone else in the market for a niche item like this will not want your custom spec but their own and will pay less for the compromise or the hassle of breaking it up and selling the bits...

Selling complete will get you perhaps 70% of the value vs splitting.

  • Everyone has already said what I was planning to! Split for the win

  • if you give me £7.50 i'll take this piece of filthy, sinful hipster wank off your hands.

  • Had a good day then pj?

  • " ;) "

  • pj if you give me £7.50 i'll take this piece of filthy, sinful hipster wank off your hands.

now that's an offer he can't refuse.

  • a teacher is a teacher. i like your style pj.

  • i'd be interested in the frame, cranks and bb. keep us updated!

  • Wait till summer. newbies like summer.

"I think I'm going to buy a bike this summer....."

"It's such a nice day, if I had a bike I'd go for a ride"

"I could ride a bike to work...."

Plus that way you can buy it back on ebay at the end of the summer when said newbie is bored of it.

"I can't ride in the rain"

    "It's cold outside"

  • Advertise in 'Guerilla' campaign with 'Lost' style poster on lamp-posts around 'cool' areas.

    Coin it.

  • roxy Wait till summer. newbies like summer.

If you don't go for the strip and sell option and can wait till the summer I reckon this would be a good idea...
