Road tax was abolished in the 1930's. the current system is based on carbon dioxide emissions. i might wheeze a bit on the big hills but i'm sure i don't produce as much as a grand cherokee.
local taxes (council tax is the biggest) pay for the roads. i'm sure we all pay council tax.
most cyclists probably drive too - i do so pay road tax anyway.
i've managed to bend both wheels on a big hole last week - arse!
