Dura-ethics

Superprecise i always wonder about this... on cranks which get rubbed a lot by the old ankles, does any paint, enamel or powder finish not wear away over time?

Paint (wet sprayed) - yes will wear eventually.
Enamel - yes some wear, but fairly hard wearing.
Powdercoat - unlikely to contact wear.

Also I think if your feet, ankles, legs spend enough time in contact with the cranks to actually wear the paint off, your set-up might be wrong (?).
