i've heard good things said about them. i've got some old GB road bars on a holdsworth conversion and they have a slight randonneur bend and I really like them. particularly nice when in the drops.

the nitto noodles are a nice 'inbetween' version - not quite as swept back as the randonneurs. Got them on my bike and i likes them...

i'd love a set, but for my tourer. i bodged a set using some old drops and a tree (sturdiest thing i could find) and just bent the drops outwards a bit. not exactly the same geometry but you get the idea. only problem is the lower half of the drops aren't parallel to the ground.
nitto noodles are VERY nice as well, my friend got a set. they measure them the proper way, centre to centre so keep that in mind when ordering because they are a lot wider than other bars that are 'apparently' the same width.

A friend of mine (probably reading this right now: lurker, I see you) has the Nitto ones on his BK, and I must say that they do look mighty comfortable.
Imagine I'll switch to them once I get bored of 36cm 123As... And risers... And...
(+1 to having four times as many bars as bikes.)

Funny you should say that! I have a virtually brand new pair of the Nitto B-135AA randonneur bars here under my desk you can have for a tenner if you want. Very comfortable but i personally dont like the way they look.

yeah, you should see the coil at the front! not good for the old barse (bit between the balls and the arse) if you hit a pot hole you don't see while sitting too far forward. wasn't my first choice of saddle but came up on ebay for a song, love the character of it. Sheldon Brown says the B130 was made for the rough roads in the third world, I think its also a lady's saddle due to the width. My child bearing hips don't object anyway.

too much info ;)

just adding the usual disclaimer. If anyone wants one, remember to weigh up the 1% chance of sterilisation with the 99% chance of comfort.
weighs a ton too, but compared to my 17st its light in comparison

Hi OCD have you still got these bars for sale?

I am on the lookout for some criterium bars. The Radonneur are a bit 'tourer' for me.

I use the randonneur bars, they're fine, but very shallow drop. The upswept flats annoy me as well as they but my wrists at the wrong angle, I'd actually prefer them to sweep down a bit instead.
That said I've ridden up to 600km on them without too much discomfort. -

true, but aren't criterium bars a bit 'lapper' or 'circuitous'?

I think planet x is cheaper, can't remember you should check though.
I work with some old school rocker of a guy who's love of fixed gear bikes predates me (and i;m well into my late 20s). Anyway, he's been going on about how great randonneur style handlebars are becasue of the multiple hand positions available - particularly the comfort offered with the slight rise and the way you don;t have to twist your wrist when grasping on the bends or the drops.
I;m thinking of getting some (but then again, i am a sucker for different types of handlebars to suit different ride/bikes/moods). just wondering if any one on here has them and what people think of them.
