Cycling superstition

fakenger35 I rode without a helmet for years; never worried about it. Now I've been wearing one for three years (my girlfriend asked me to) I'm terrified to ride anywhere without it. I just know I'll come off, bang my head and then there'll be the insufferable "I was right" attitude from the gf (now wife)

Similar thing with me. My friends gave me major hassle over not wearing one, now I feel naked without it!

I had 3 punctures to a single bloody tube on Oxford St on sunday. I thought I had one, looked at the tube, spotted two. Fitted the wheel back on the Brompton (they couldn't have made it any fiddlier. Oh how I miss allen bolts/quick release), inflate and there's another one! I checked the inside of the tyre too :(
