Hey man that sucks! Can I ask for some info? What tubs + what pressures please!?
I ran a conti gatorskin (30GN)at back for 5 months and it took a 3mm dia chunk out of the rubber with a further 3mm gash in the kevlar to pop it. And up until then it was saved/used with the latex for a couple of months too. -

don't jinx me dude - "DEMON!! be gone!!"
Well I've been using a cheapo conti Giro at the back for a week and touch wood it's done about 100 miles.. had a look today it's getting fooked! tubs can be an expen$ive hobby.. -

it was a conti giro front and rear both at 140psi, all i can say is what do i expect for a £12 tub?
i just read your other post about puntures the one i had before this one was on my clinchers where my inner tube blew out through a spoke hole with rim tape fitted, that was no fun at all on the front at 20mph, instant flat.

on a clincher tip, i've had the same pair of conti's for over a year now and not a single puncture, which is rather pleasing.

That's just the weird thing, I only had about 2 punctures since October before the start of the year.
I spoke to some guy last night (friendly, asked if I needed any help) who suggested it's all the wet weather - glass bits stick to wet tyres and more likely to have a flat.

yeah for sure, you will always get more punctures in the winter. worth taking the time to check your tyres regularly and remove any glass, flint, etc. before it gets embedded into (and eventually pushed through) your rubber
I went out and bought a new set of tubs on saturday for my fix fitted them yesterday. I rode into work this morning no problems, when i go to leave tonight i make it half way round the building on the cycle path and get a fcuking puncture because there was fucking glass on the path, one fcuking ride to work and my tubs ruined [/vent]
