pista-gain Stunning frame's, bit on the large side. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PINARELLO-PISTA-track-frame-fork-for-campagnolo-NOS_W0QQitemZ150204513193QQihZ005QQ
I bid on that for a laugh at $366 and $400 - it's so nice but really not for me - it's a showbike!

6 quid postage is correct tobyonekanobe- I asked the seller and they are a bike shop! frame is tange #5 (plain guage) and serial number could mean a 1989. it's pretty heavy and basic but I may have a punt tomorrow if it stays cheap. -

No way, last time i sent a frame it was £16, i've been selling tat for years on the bay, blimey 12 new Peroni glasse's (which weigh nout) cost nearly £8 to post. Prob is parcelforce have slapt a restriction on the size of their parcels (£14 min) and it cant be more than 3 metres in height/width combined. Last ime i sent a frame to thetford via the post office it cost £16.00..... if they have a deal with a courier then great, but via joe bloggs post, £6 isn't realistic, that's all i was saying.. :)

Yeah - corporate courier rates I guess - they send sheetloads of bikes!
I specifically asked the seller because 6 quid only allows you a gift-wrapped baby-turd in the post. allegedly. ;-) -

When i was 17, i took an agency job whilst at college, i worked for parcel force and feck me, they really don'y give a toss if your parcel 1, arrives on time, 2, arrives at all and 3, whether its in one piece or not! Their were also loads who nicked parcels saying that they had left them at properties..... Heh heh..... sorry, its the friday night rant :)

Those guys are a BMX mailorder - they work with Citylink if i remember right....
Using using Parcelforce would cost £8-9 to send a frame (no tracking number)

A matter of perspective, in my opinion
Are they good compared to full Phil Wood hub/Mavic 33 set up for riding dozens of miles a day? No
Are they good for cruising about on your first fixed if you can get them cheap? Yes, definitely.

They're just the standard wheelset that comes with a Bianchi Pista, no?

think you can build it up single speed with a chain tensioner (someone correct me if im wrong) but for fixie you need horizontal dropouts

Not quite true. When you don't have horizontal drop-outs you can either sometimes get by with a magic gear (often using a half-link) or use an White Industries Eno hub to get the tension right. The former can be a pain (esp with changing flats) and can limit you to some odd gearing. The later is expensive, but enables you to 'fix' almost any bike.
That said, you're always going to be better off finding a frame with track ends or horizontal (longer the better) dropouts.

did you win that?
as pip said converting a bike with vertical dropouts could cost you way more time/money than getting another frame to be honest, so if you didn't win it go find sthg else.if you did, use search to look for "vertical dropouts" on this forum you'll find out more.
