26" Single speeders

ChrisNW I just sized up some 700c wheels against my old 1995 mtb and apart from axle spacing on the rear the fit looks good. There's even a hole in the fork that would take a short drop front caliper, even though it has only ever had cantis/v's on.

Has anyone else tried a setup like this?

Yep, my first fixed was my raleigh mountain bike of that age, I chopped out the rear drop outs and fitted track ends bringing the rear down to 120mm spacing. 700c wheels with 28mm tyres went straight in
