road bikes are really good on the road.
far too many people (and I'll admit to being one, once upon a time) ride MTBs on the road, with slicks it's a compromise. yes they work, but nothing beats a properly sized road bike with 700c for really getting in the miles.
everything about mountain bikes sucks ass in traffic, the q factor is massive, the centre of gravity is too high, the handlebars are gay and the angles too slack.
you can bellyache and disagree with me till you're blue in the face, but deep down..you know I'm right.
