I need someone with experience of cotter crank BBs to tell me how to take one apart and fix a bit of play mine has - any tips, or know anyone who's good at that stuff?

^^oooh... the wraparound seatstays are exactly the same as my frame.
Even with the tubs / suicide hub and poor paintwork it's gotta be worth £150 - it's got a white Rolls saddle!

yeah, while they do look nice, i've got some play between the chain ring and the crank arm on mine, plus i 'smudged' the threads on the cotter pins when i wellied them out (i was expecting more resistance i guess). if yours is playing up, i'd recommend replacing it and the BB with a regular set-up, only leave if (like on one of our lastest projects) its a french BB and going to cause mucho grief. my girl vic is riding a cottered raleigh and we've had no real trouble, just the odd loose nut. if that fails on her, or the BB goes, its a pink nitto for the lady. :D

God I know. But now I fell in love with a 1940s crank I'm stuck with obselete design. It's not the cotter pins that's giving my gyp, its the BB. Which essentially havem't changed right?

Totally in deep, dirty, sexual love with those forks.
Like a certain someone and his chickens, but at the moment I'm stuck at drooling...
i bidded the gazelle up to my max, was hoping for one of those gold ebay auctions, with no real interest... you know the ones, the ones that don't exist.
