Take a big suitcase.
A big list here, but not all that up to date.
You can hire SS (not sure about fixed) from Manhattan Velo on E17th by Union Square. -

Hi all,
Off to New York at the begining of Feb and wondering if anyone can spread a little light on the places and bargains to be had- obiviously most stuff will be cheaper on the whole, but was maybe thinking of trying to grab a new frame to start a build with..any such places spring to mind-also any ideas on bringing back to blighty without having to pay the tax over £140 allowed-maybe just a big suit case straight face and straight through the green lane?
Already pencilled in King kog
Cheers

Given that sodding Mail article, it wouldn't surprise me if this week's Time Out has a bike section in it's "NYC Shopping" feature. Haven't read it yet...

Simpson79 any ideas on bringing back to blighty without having to pay the tax over £140 allowed..
Take receipts/leaflets/whatever off the frame, whack it in a box, put some cloth in there, and tell them it's a tent if they ask. It worked for us.
Oh, don't write stuff like "My mum has AIDS" and "I've got the clap" on your box, didn't go down too well with border control.

I am headed off to New Jersey on wednesday, with a day in NYC on monday.
Apart from the usual sight seeing type stuff, i want to fit in a trip to a bike shop. Pick up some cheap parts and smuggle them back in.Sooo anyone know of any with a nice fixed selection around that way?
Also, if anyone desperately wants anything, if you can give me the £/$ upfront, ill see what i can do.
Arrospok perhaps?
