Yeah, my thinking now is not to blow £1K on a fixer but spend a bit on a cycle fitting then looking to spend c£5-600 on a fixer making sure to invest in the wheels & bb like you say (I'll be needing trainers and other bits too which will cost). I need it to last me for the next 15 months by which time it'll more than have paid for itself on 3 day a week commutes to Elephant & Castle.
What do you think of the options I've drawn up?
