As a slight diversion, does anyone ever use the masterlink on a chain?
I had one on my AUS bike and it was fine but I have heard that some don't trust them.
Anything not to trust?

Momentum
dogsballs
cool, sorta limited as the mercian i'm building hasn't got a lot of room for adjustment.Could just use a single half link with a normal chain?
true, bit it is very very limited, one of those drops on a 70 deg angle, chain not that expensive.

I use a masterlink - no problems at all, works a charm and means I can get the chain off to clean with only a swiss army knife. :-)
