Look what I bought today...

I have two Bromptons and they are amazing bikes for London, especially around traffic jams, very nippy. As for earlier comments about millage I do about 14 miles a day on mine it is fine.

Although....

I rode over a plastic bag last week which attacked my tiny complicated rear derailleur (2 gear), shredded itself and locked up my gears. I still need to take the whole thing apart to get the rest of the oiley plastic out! At this point I wished I had no gears :(

I have been riding the Dahon around a bit now

I still haven't got the gearing quite right, but it 'moves' alright

However I know why that Brompton has rear suspension

Just ask my sore arse

It is still a work in progress

I just added a "Jet Lite" which is pretty awesome

Although I just got back home from uni and went for a ride on my fixed. Now I think I will cry if I ever get on a Brompton again.

Yeah, getting on the bareknuckle after riding the Dahon for a bit is like strapping into a jet fighter after flying a biplane, I love the Dahon, but not as my 'only' bike

When I first got my Brompton I was having the exciting I'm cycling home from work feeling and went from the road onto the pavement where there wasn't a kerb. I did a wheely and the bike seemed to be balancing well and then I just fell straight back as the thing folded, luckily landed on my feet so didn't look like a complete idiot. They are amazing bikes though and surprisingly fast, really don't see the point in having one fixed though I wouldn't even have one single speed. They don't ride well when you are out the saddle so I find I need both the gears on mine.

Haha, love it.

I'm going to head out again in a bit, just waiting for the frost to clear a bit so I don't kill myself!

As it goes, is it just me who thinks a Brompton would be good for Bike Polo?

I've never played polo, but they're seriously nippy, so might be good.
