I have some blue Nitto bars also (but drops not bullhorns) - I have not seen those before, they look great !!
I have a white Paul e-lever that looks pretty cool against blue, you could buy an e-lever and get it powdercoated or spray it yourself if you are good at things like that.

where did you get the leverhttp://www.freshtripe.co.uk - but they are sold out at the moment :( - so you could order one from source - http://www.PaulComp.com - although it would cost you more with shipping.

How long did it take, how much did it cost ?I dropped it in Thursday around 5.30pm and picked it up Friday around 4.30pm.
Now here's a problem . . . if you want a frame powdercoated in white it will cost you £40, if you want 6 levers + 6 calipers + a mudguard + some forks and three sets of cranks all powdercoated in white it will cost you £40 for the lot - and if you want a single bolt powdercoated in white it will cost you £40 !
So . . getting one lever done will be very expensive (£40!!), when I had mine done it was with a few other parts (cranks, calipers etc)
- it will cost you another £40 for every additional colour !!!!!!

I don't have a yard so I can't do rattle can sprayingI have sprayed parts out in the street or out the window before works fine.
If you are good with a spray can and take your time, do multiple light coatings and clear coat to finish with you can get a very good result, I have a bright pink rim in the rear (Oh! I say !!!!) which I rattle canned and it looks like a proper paint job.

I could never figure out the size of that horse so them levers was a bit of a mystery for me
Now I am assuming that you Tynan have like normal sized hands so that lever than is pretty dinky
Which is good coz them bullhorns are 40cm so they are kinda narrow
certainly not enough room for a mtb style brake lever
So we are going to go for a Paul and we is going to spray it out on the 'rue'
If it rubs off, I'll give Armoutec a call
Thank you Tynan you are a proper gent thank you for taking the time
It is much appreciated

You should sand it first or even chemically etch the surface (use an oven cleaner like Kleen Off™ with Soduim Hydroxide in / basically one that reads DO NOT USE ON ALLUMINIUM) to get a good solid covering that will last.

and make sure you've got plenty of ventilation, hydrogen is very flammable.

Why would he be using hydrogen ?

naoh and aluminium releases hydrogen gas. if the levers aren't made of alu just ignore me =p
-
• #17
how do you know when it's etched...? I mean is this a ten minute or an overnight job...?

Ah I see ! - you are right they are aluminium - so keep them windows open.

Should be 10 minutes or so - test a little on a hidden area.
The surface should be ever so slightly rough, like a very fine pitting, this is what will help the paint (preferably enamel/car spray aerosol) mechanically lock onto the surface.
. . . or go to work with some medium grit sand paper (240 grit will do it).
