Good thing I didnt hack off my gear lever bosses, as they were an ideal mounting for my detachable home brew battery pack.This is used to power my home brew 6W luxeon star LED light.
The grenade style battery back contains 5 AA NiMH batteries soldered together with a switch and DC outlet socket. This is housed in a section of waste pipe, end capped, and enclosed in rubber tube.
Here's the detachable luxeon star led which also contains a 1A current limiter (buck puck)
