RPM there's still a fukin car or two in the background..
it's never deserted, even on december the 25th (I am a non believer so don't acknowledge the christian festival)
it's not Christian, is it, it's originally bleedin pagan appropriated by the church

bloody hell its just a holiday!

semantics aside, I don't "do" what the majority of British people do on Dec 25th
apart from eat a lot (sometimes) but I do that anytime I have a day off

Technically the 25th isn't a pagan holiday,
The winter solstice on the 21st however - You'll find me at sunrise by the sea on the southcoast and at sunset on parliament hill. -
• #33
at least we can then look forward to longer days

Object17 Technically the 25th isn't a pagan holiday,
The winter solstice on the 21st however.the pagan celebration on the 25th was to celebrate that you had made it through the shortest day and could look forward to making it through winter. it was a big feast, i understand.

I do want to ride to brighton again. Preferably with a little company though. -

fc9k wasnt it on the lunar calendar or something anyway?
Seconded. It was a floating date, that said Christianity did approximate it for their own holiday.

Definately the coolest make in mountain biking in my opinion, their bikes make me want to start downhilling. They also do a fixed wheel bike now which I'm not overly keen on, but all thier other bikes are cool as.

S.N.S has a BMW track frame, it is unorthodox looking but I quite like it, and Scott clearly does.

I imagine it is an amazing bike, all their other bikes get top reviews. 2 or so years ago someone had what looked like one of the first ones over on fgg, he was mates with the guys who own BMW and he made it himself, I think this bike was the start of them producing them. The list of this guys track bikes and other bikes was incredible, it sounded like he had a museum of bikes in his house!

After due consideration I'll be shunning the LCC ride as it sounds a little slow paced.
I want to tear around London in a way that's not possible the rest of the year.
I'll be unable to get onto FGSS much between now and the 25th so email me if you're interested, Object17 [at] gmail [dot] comThe plan is for a 10:30ish start, once I know who is coming I'll work out a suitible starting/meetup point.
