The rules don't spec. clips, straps, clipless as far as I know.. in fact I wonder if they'd let you ride with flats? I mean, not seriously of course, just wondering if there are rules for pedals.
Here's a few options.. the most popular for sprinters when I left Oz was SPD-R (the old all-metal ones) plus a strap.
Now SPD-SL are becoming more popular as a replacement for SPD-R (SPD-SL is much easier to find I think)
