  • Ok it's more a (unfinished) project than a proper bike, but anyway, check out this threads on WW forum:

Lightest "bike" in the world? 2999g

  • wow brakeless pedal less and super slack chain nice look:)

  • Belt drive :o

  • Ratboy wow brakeless pedal less and super slack chain nice look:)

Oh that is just a detail! That dude ride freewheel and brakeless in San Francisco... this bike at least is way safer ;)

  • Give it to me and I'll see how durable it is.. flex? much? snap.

  • it might weight more than 3kilos if you put some handlebars on it.

  • Are those slug-things brakes?

  • mudguards?

  • I mean.. what's the point? Make a bike without brakes without saddle, without bars, 12" wheels and roll it down a hill.. woah dude sub-2kg bike! Practical? Err.. sure.

  • Weight weenies

There's loads of 'em here. It's like a lot of hobbies innit - people get obsessive. I doubt if many of these bikes ever get ridden TBH...

  • Yeah, but at least the 4kg Crumpton was built to go uphill fast. It rides, unlike this one.
Give me a 10kg Clarus any day :)

  • MA3K|³| Are those slug-things brakes?

    winston mudguards?

    Brakes I think.

The belt drive isn't recommended for fixed/track applications AFAIK and as that would leave this guy freewheel and hurtling along those things must be brakes.

The front slug has what appears to be a cable runner to guide the cable up to the stem.
