Top tip - use tip-ex instead of expensive paint.
Real top tip - cut off the braze-ons with a hacksaw or one of those fancy dremel bladed things, then sand down the stumps with a file or whatever. Its best to avoid applying unecessary heat through friction to frames.
Oh also, another upgrade you should think about is metal clips, or at least straps to go with your plastic ones. Will give you a bit more added security (and keep yer feet on the pedals better!)
You can get leather christophe straps from condor for a fiver, and metal (NJS STAMPED!) toeclips from there for 7 quid i think, in a variety of sizes - M, L and LL. dunno what LL is really.
