Drinkin on Ocean Beach

  • k, so, first off, big ups to the SF krew. secondly, life is easier when your durnk and posting on forums, no? thirdly, heres the story;

    this might be the best photo my poor little t610 ever took; me and my mate marcus ended up riding down to ocean beach (san francisco's left flank, for those of yous whos donts knows), picking up a 12 pack (american speak for 12 beers wrapped in one cardboard box) and a bag of ice. only, the thing is, your not sposed to have glass on the beach - drinkin is fine, so much as is doesnt end up as broken glassin the sand; you know, gotta think of the kiddies. so, being the responsible adults we were (not are), we new we could handle this quarry, and so quickly figured out to dig into the moist (aka, cold) under soil of the sand, burry the 12'er, toss in the ice, then casually slide my bag over it when life-guards - continuously cruising in their life-sized hotwheels truck - came too perilously close.

    thats it.

    not really anything to this story, other than i love this photo, and i thought id share it.

    its under the "travel and tips" section, so, you know, learn from this. er wait... its travel and trips. oh well.

    ps. 12, 333ml beers goes 6 each for two people, which meant me (and my body size) could handle my half much better than skinny-man and his goattee. so, in the parking lot (sf heads: you know that shitty, skinny, wierd ass parking lot adjacent) marcus completes about half of one pedal and completely falls over, at like zero miles an hour, in front of parking lot traffick, who all screech to a stop and gawk. luckily, my mate comes to pick us up, marcus heads home, and i head off to work - to deliver pizza's in the castro! ha!

  • We have another contender for drunken crashing.. look out murtle!

    Cool photo carlitos! Beach Esky! :)

  • ha!......fooled mitch once again! idiot................

    i think he's suspicious......or is that Zuma beach

  • either way, id say its called HEAVEN!

  • I love Ocean Beach. Truth be told, if I'm going to actually spend a day on a beach, I tend to head for Baker - the wind's not so bad there - but I ride a loop around Lake Merced a couple of times a week and I always make 5 minutes to stop and take in the fact that the Pacific Ocean is on my doorstep.

    Life seems somehow better when it has the sound of crashing waves in the background.

  • Life seems somehow better when it has the sound of sirens in the background

  • too right.

    all that beach living turns you into a softie
