provenrad The OP just pasted links and vague info - why not just put the actual advert text (complete with sizes + prices) here in the classified section? Posting a new topic with no information is annoying for all users.
There is a clearly indicated link with as much information as I have ever seen on a bike, right down to the condition of the brake pads and the length of the cranks in millimeters !? Which part annoyed you, the need to click on the link ?
Here again we have forum users policing and speaking for people who have not asked them too. You say it "is annoying for all users" - you are wrong in the respect that you do not speak for me.
I would rather not have these forums policed for me.
provenrad And regarding the rudeness: had a potential buyer posted a link to that £175 bike and asked for advice whether it was worth buying, I would have said the same as my original post. So why hold back? I know it was rude, but I'd rather help prevent anyone who reads this forum from (IMHO) wasting money.
Your attempts to protect people less wise than yourself from losing their money is largely a waste of time, people will enjoy making these kinds of decisions for themselves.
I would rather people post stuff here for sale than not, if a culture arises where people are treated like cunts, told to piss off to ebay, called a 'fucktard', accused of spamming, selling junk and so on - we will all end up buying our stuff exclusively from wiggle and chain reaction, not people like freshtripe, Roberto and scott simply so that the forum sits within the moral boundaries of a few posters here.
