Thanks man! The wrap is Fizik and the helmet is just some skateboard helmet I got years ago. Not sure of the make...

Does 653 have butting of any kind ? (apologies for my ignorance on steel frames)

Once the post is down around an inch past the seat tube / top tube intersection there is nothing to be gained by driving it further in - as the butting means the post is not supported past this point.

geez even got red valvecaps... it does look nice, that stem/handlebar combo is weird tho...

My guess would be Magnesium and Molybendum(spelling?), eg. the other components of the steel alloy
