I have a load of the original spoke cards which I got from Hovis, which I'm trying to distribute, but after the torrential downpour which happened on the 2nd bridges ride, thinking lamination is the best way to go, how many cards do you think you could safely get through your laminator at work? As I'd like to get some of these done and out to the good forum people again...

  • I want sticker!

well if we're going on A6 size, so 4 a sheet I can easily get away with 5-10 sheets at a time when its quiet probably more, its not used that much. Basically as many as I can get away with :-) I'm next to Tower Bridge so if you're in the area whisper me and i'll give you my work address, alternatively am usually at girls polo on tues out east. You're a southsider as well tho arent you?

  • nah thats fine, where shall we meet?

  • lets say the falcon up by clapham north tube, can stop and have a quick drink or just pass through on the way home I should be a there for about 7-7.15, with a bag full of spoke cards

  • nice.

  • he does it again.... :o)

  • that is lovely... but as you say, won't be white for long...

  • Sounds like they're taking the piss alright. I'm a teacher in a technology college and our tech department has a machine which sews on any vector graphics / text. I'm sure it's not that hard \ expensive as the IT tech guys embroidered their seatbelts for their cars on it (they're petrolheads and wanted that extra bit of bling..)

i know someone who did something similiar with a kiln and some pieces of pottery.

  • I'm a fair distance from Scott, but the idea has some merit.

Scott, could you contact a couple of the local schools \ colleges (those that specialise in technology would be a good start)? You'd probably have to do the work yourself, but may get away with buying the department a box of biscuits or summit?

  • Scott - not that this will help much, but Under the Weather do all their embroidery freehand. Amazing work that those guys do.

  • what are these guys like for costs scott? they quote £3.25 per 1000 stitches
